Dr. Bradley Eyford

Dr. Bradley Eyford was born and raised in Vancouver BC, Canada. He Graduated from the University of Victoria, in Victoria BC with his Bachelor of Arts in Kinesiology in 1998. Soon thereafter, he moved to Portland OR for his post-graduate education at Western States Chiropractic College. After graduating Chiropractic College in 2003, he began his practice
in Tacoma WA and has been practicing there ever since. As a lifelong patient of Chiropractic care, Dr. Eyford knows and truly values the benefits of the adjustment. It's this knowledge and passion for helping others that drives him in his constant quest to improve the lives of his patients.

Dr. Eyford is the owner and clinic director of The Health Connection, Tacoma's premier provider of natural health and wellness. With a background in exercise physiology, and a love of sports, Dr. Eyford utilizes a balanced approach when working with his patients. He has worked extensively with patients of all kinds including elite level athletes, weekend warriors, Monday morning quarterbacks, and aspiring desk jockeys. He has worked extensively with families who choose to incorporate Chiropractic into their regular health and wellness programs. Dr. Eyford has 2 wonderful boys, Jackson and Pearce, working with Children comes naturally for Dr. Eyford.

Dr. Eyford utilizes state of the art diagnostic equipment, combined with several integrated Chiropractic procedures ranging from low-force techniques to traditional manual Chiropractic adjustments. Our system of analysis is based on the highly regarded and well-researched method of Activator. To enhance our patient's experience and to achieve rapid and lasting results, we use a combination of specific exercises, proper nutritional supplements, and appropriate therapies and home care with our patients.

Doctor of Chiropractic

Dr. Dena Long has joined our team to provide continual care for our patients when Dr. Eyford is out of the office.

Dr. Dena Long attended the University of California Santa Barbara, where she was a dance major for 3 years. She then changed direction to become a chiropractor and attended the Los Angeles College of Chiropractic, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree and Doctor of Chiropractic in 1992. She practiced in California for 3 years and then moved to the Pacific Northwest, where she has been practicing for the last 22 years.

Dr. Dena has been a board member of the Washington State Chiropractic Association for the past 3 years and has spoken at many organizations on the benefits of natural healthcare and chiropractic.

Her passion is taking care of families and she especially loves taking care of children. Dr. Long has studied multiple techniques and uses hands on techniques, as well as instrument adjusting to provide the very best in healthcare, education and service.

Dr. Dena and her husband, Dr. Doug Long, live in North Tacoma and have a daughter Madeline and a dog named Kosmo.

KallinKalin Garcia

Licensed Acupuncturist - Board Certified Chinese Herbalist

Kalin was born and raised in western Washington. Prior to joining The Health Connection, she attended Seattle Institute of Oriental Medicine. Here she gained hands on experience with acupuncture, Chinese herbs and other modalities and earned a Masters in Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine. Following her schooling she worked on cruise ships for a year and then on land for another seven years practicing acupuncture. Kalin enjoys helping her patients with their health through acupuncture, and Chinese herbal treatments. She specializes in pain management along with women’s health. In her free time, Kalin enjoys spending time outdoors with her family.

Lisa webLisa O'Flaherty

Licensed Acupuncturist - Board certified by the NCCAOM and licensed by the State of Washington.

Lisa is a native of Washington. She received her Bachelor’s degree from The Evergreen State College prior to receiving her Masters of Science in Acupuncture from Bastyr University. She was drawn to Chinese Medicine after suffering from what is now called chronic migraine. She experienced undesirable side effects from western medications prescribed by her medical doctor and went in search of something else. This is when she discovered Chinese Medicine and she loved how she was treated as an individual, not a condition. Her training in Chinese Medicine has given her the tools to plan a treatment geared toward each persons’ condition, constitution, and goals while guiding each person towards lasting health while discovering the innate healing the body is capable of. While she enjoys the variety of treating many health issues, she specializes in pain, and migraine.

Vanessa decided to pursue a career in massage after experiencing first hand the healing benefits of chiropractic and massage after a car accident. She graduated Everest College in 2011, and specializes in treatment and sports massage. Vanessa is currently on materinty leave and we eargerly await her return.

Stephanie was born and raised in Arizona. She then moved to Tacoma to attend the University of Puget Sound where she majored in Theater Arts. Since graduating she has worked extensively in dance and choreography, both teaching and performing. It was her love of movement and passion to help people achieve the most they can physically, the lead her to pursue massage therapy. Stephanie graduated from Massage Connection School of Natural Health in 2011 and has a particular enjoyment for working in treatment massage.

In 2005, putting a desk-bound job and some severe health struggles behind her, she enrolled in Ashmead College for Massage, graduating in 2006. With more than 20 years of experience in art, design, and technical occupations and 10 years in massage, she has a uniquely creative perspective with an ability to think dimensionally and outside the box. Alice believes that health requires a commitment to our own well-being on every level; emotional, spiritual, and physical. She loves her occupation as a Massage Therapist and Reiki Master/Teacher and enjoys helping others on their journey toward wellness.

Mike

Mike is a former custodian who has been drawn to the healing arts for most of his life. He became intrigued early on by the connection between the mind and the body in regard to health and well-being.

After developing neck and shoulder pain from many years of working as a custodian, Mike received a long overdue reminder about the value of massage treatment. Deciding it was time for a career that was more in line with his healing inclinations, Mike enrolled at the American Institute of Clinical Massage (AICM) to begin his training. He discovered both a talent and passion for massage, and knew he had finally found his calling. After graduating from AICM in September of 2015, Mike left Spokane for Western Washington to be with the love of his life. He now resides in University Place with his wife and a multitude of four legged children.

Lindsi grew up in Puyallup, Wa with her family and spent summers in Billings, MT with her Dad's parents. Growing up with a healthy love for adventures and a thirst for how things worked lead her into a job as a running specialist for Lady Foot Locker right out of high School. There, she experienced an injury that sent her to regular massage and chiropractic care, and she found an opening to explore that love. Lindsi has been practicing Massage since 2012, and hopes to expand her craft to include pediatrics and herbal care. Now residing in University Place with her husband and children, family is her number one, with her love of healing keeping her sane.

Kimberly was born and raised in Federal Way, Washington. Being a native of the Pacific Northwest, she enjoys the outdoors and activities such as bonfires, camping, fishing, and hiking. Kimberly also enjoys sports and is a huge Seahawks fan. She has extensive customer service experience and really enjoys helping people. Colleen is a PNW native, raised in Gig Harbor; she is now living with her husband John and son Trentin in Tacoma, WA. A long time soccer fan, Colleen is a season ticket holder with the Seattle Sounders, Tacoma Stars and don’t be surprised to find her at a South Sound Shock match as well. After working in medical billing and customer service for many years, coming to The Health Connection was an easy transition. She is dedicated to helping people achieve their wellness goals.

Wendy was born and raised in Graham WA and currently resides in Orting with her 2 children (and 3 furry ones). She has a passion for holistic living and loves reading and continuing her education in nutrition and health coaching. When she's not at The Health Connection, you will find her at the gym (reaching a new personal best!), in her kitchen (whipping up something healthy and DEELISH!) or finding a new trail to explore (hugging a tree!). After years in the chiropractic and wellness field, her journey has brought her to The Health Connection where she has been a fantastic addition to the team!
